According to this report, 8 out of 10 EU citizens consider helping others or voluntary work as an important aspect of life, but most Europeans (64%) do not actively participate or do any voluntary work, at least not with any of the organisations listed in the questionnaire. The European average conceals large differences between the results of the different member states. Look at the chart below and compare your group’s results with the official results at the EU and national levels.
