This section is the only part of the Handbook that contains terms which form part of your Contract with the College. Remuneration SECTION 2.1 i. ii. iii. iv. All permanent and temporary staff are paid monthly. The pay period is the current month, and one twelfth of your annual salary is paid each calendar month. With effect from 1 September 2007, payment will be made on the 25th of the month. If the 25th falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Bank Holiday the payment will be brought forward to the preceding Friday. The December payment will be made on the last working day before the 25th. Casual staff will be paid on the 25th of each month, as above, but their payment is based on weekly timesheets and they will be paid for 4 weeks in some months and 5 weeks in others. You will receive a pay advice slip that will specify your gross pay, details of any deductions made, and, if relevant, any statutory payments made to you. Any pay queries which you may have should be raised, in the first instance, with the Payroll Administrator in the Bursary. We shall review pay levels and decide on any pay increases at our discretion and on such grounds and terms as we think fit, taking into account your ability, development, and performance record, as well as comparability of the duties and responsibilities of your post with other posts. The College operates a discretionary, performance-related bonus scheme. You will be entitled each year to be considered for a College bonus but the question of whether or not such a bonus should be paid to you and if so the sum of any such bonus is entirely a matter for our discretion and the College reserves the right to modify or withdraw the scheme upon review in any year.
