SECTION 2.4
Termination of employment
TERMS & CONDITIONS
i.
The period of notice of termination of employment which you are entitled
to receive is as follows,
• One week's notice during the probationary period;
• Four weeks’ notice after the completion of the probationary period, but
when the period of continuous employment is less than four years;

• One week's notice for each year of continuous employment when the
period of continuous employment is four years or more but less than
twelve years; and
• Twelve weeks' notice when the period of continuous employment is
twelve years or more.

You are required to give the College four weeks’ notice of resignation,
unless a longer period is set out in your Statement of Terms and Conditions
of Service.
The College reserves the contractual right to give pay in lieu of all or any
part of the notice given by either party.
Upon either party giving notice of termination of employment, the College
may, at its discretion, for all or part of your notice period:

• Exclude you from the premises or any other premises of the College;
• Request you to carry out specified duties other than your normal duties;
• Prohibit you from carrying out your normal duties, however you will still
be available for answering queries;
• Instruct you not to communicate with College employees, officers,
Fellows, or students;
• Require you to take outstanding holiday entitlement.
During this period you will continue to receive your full salary and any
other contractual benefits.
