A definite progress was achieved in 2014 against the 2011 baseline on five out of six Corporate<br />
Environmental Targets approved for OAO <strong>Gazprom</strong> for 2014–2016.<br />
The overall performance against the target of reducing above-limit impact charges was<br />
dragged down by the charges imposed by government supervisory agencies following their<br />
inspection of OOO <strong>Gazprom</strong> dobycha Noyabrsk for the disposal of the drilling waste from drilling<br />
operations in 2012 and 2013.<br />
In addition to OAO <strong>Gazprom</strong>, most companies of <strong>Gazprom</strong> Group have a certified EMS in<br />
place. These include OOO <strong>Gazprom</strong> energoholding and its subsidiaries (OAO Mosenergo,<br />
OAO OGK-2, OAO TGC-1), OAO <strong>Gazprom</strong> neft, OAO <strong>Gazprom</strong> neftekhim Salavat, Sakhalin<br />
Energy, OAO Severneftegazprom, and others.<br />
Environmental performance<br />
Total air pollution emissions made by <strong>Gazprom</strong> Group’s stationary sources in Russia, were cut by<br />
278,800 tonnes y-o-y due to the implementation of a set of initiatives by OAO <strong>Gazprom</strong> to reduce<br />
methane emissions from pipelining, underground storage and processing of natural gas; reduction<br />
of emissions from <strong>Gazprom</strong> energoholding’s facilities due to reduced power generation;<br />
implementation of a range of technology solutions by <strong>Gazprom</strong> neft to improve the efficiency<br />
of APG utilisation at its fields; and implementation of programmes to reduce emissions from oil<br />
refining operations.<br />
