The Third Resolutionon Phenomenon of Covering Truth with Falsein Indonesia and ElsewhereAll Praise be to Almighty Allah.Blessing and peace be on His Prophet Muhammadafter whom there is no prophet, and on all thosewho followed his way of guidance.The Islamic Fiqh Council in its session held on Thursday 13 thRabi Al-Aakhir 1403H examined the phenomenon of (coveringthe truth with false in Indonesia and elsewhere). It reviewed therelevant reports, studies, researches and Fatwas. It also lookedinto the issue of attending the festivals and ceremonies ofBuddhists and others.After having discussion and exchange of views on theseissues, the Council decided that Muslim’s participation in suchfestivals and ceremonies, which are not Islamic, is prohibited andforbidden in the Islamic Shari’ah.
