The samething can be said about the inventor.This tends to demoralize the authors and inventors as theysee that their endeavour would be exposed to plunder by others,when it comes to the fore, and they would find a competitor whodid not make any effort in its authorship or invention, which theyhaved done, nevertheless, he exploits it commercially.The conditions have changed with the change of time, andthere is great difference between then and now. These conditionsrequire new look that safeguards the right of every person whomakes an endeavour.Hence, it is necessary that author or inventor has a right towhat he has authored or invented and this right is his legalownership, and nobody is allowed to take this ownership withouthis permission, provided that book or research work does not callfor an evil, deviation or misguidance which is afornt to theIslamic Shari’ah. In this case, it would be destroyed as it is notpermissible to publish it.Similarly, the publisher who has made an agreement with theauthor has no right to make any amendment in contents of thebook or to change anything without the author’s approval. Thisright of the author would be inherited, and it would be bound tocomply with the international agreements as well as rules andregulations which do not contradict the Islamic Shari’ah, andregulate this right after the death of its owner, combining hisprivate and public right, as every author or inventor benefits fromthe ideas and products of his predecessors even in the general245
