Had it not been the for the blessing of Almighty Allah, andthe support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and hisgovernment to the Muslim World League, which is facilitatingthe works and programmes of the Islamic Fiqh Council, all ofthis would not have been possible. May Allah bless him withgood rewards.While the Islamic library is rich with religious books andstudies, the contributions of the Islamic Fiqh Council through itsresolutions are considered to be a collective Ijtehad, because it isnot the outcome of one scholar’s research, but it constitutes thefruitful result of the endeavour made by a group of Muslimscholars, who belong to numerous countries and variousenvironments in different areas of the Islamic Fiqh. In brief, itrepresents an Ijtehad in issues and problems of the age, which ischaracterized with advancement and change that have made theissues more complicated and gave them more dimensions.The in-depth thinking and comparison of the different viewsand arguments as well as taking the various needs into account,are governed by the rules and regulations stated in Islam.The Islamic Fiqh Council had published these resolutions invarious booklets, which covered one or more sessions. Then, itthought that it would be better to put all these resolutionstogether in one volume and arrange them according to thehistorical sequence of their sessions besides listing them so as tohelp the reader to find with ease, what he needs.These resolutions include the economic, social, medical,stronomical and other topics needed by many scholars,researchers and students, so the resolutions are fruitful outcomepresented to the reader. In order to generalize their benefits, theIslamic Fiqh Council intends to get them translated into severallanguages.19
