The Fourth Resolutionon Research Paper Entitled:‘Spread <strong>of</strong> Ommul Khabaeth: Malady and Remedy’Presented by Mahmood Sheith KhattabAll Praise be to Almighty Allah.Blessing and peace be on His Prophet Muhammadafter whom there is no prophet, and on all thosewho followed his way <strong>of</strong> guidance.The <strong>Islamic</strong> <strong>Fiqh</strong> <strong>Council</strong> during its 4 th session held at thegeneral secretariat <strong>of</strong> the Muslim World League in MakkahMukarramah between 7-17 Rabi Al-Aakhir 1401H examined theresearch paper ‘Spread <strong>of</strong> Ommul Khabaeth in Arab Countries:Malady and Remedy’ presented to it by the <strong>Council</strong> member,Mahmood Sheith Khattab. The <strong>Council</strong> found it a comprehensiveresearch paper which covered the main three evils: Alcoholicdrinks, drugs and Tobacco.The frightening picture presented by this valued researchwork which contains the important documented information andvarious hygienic, social and economic statistics, cautioning aboutthe worst scenario <strong>of</strong> the future youth generation, is in fact, apicture that is sufficient to warn the leaders <strong>of</strong> the MuslimUmmah at the various levels to shoulder their responsibilities inthis regard in order to ward <strong>of</strong>f the worst fate that awaits thefuture generation due to spread <strong>of</strong> these three evils, which theauthor <strong>of</strong> the research paper has called ‘Mother <strong>of</strong> Evils’ in thecircles <strong>of</strong> the Muslim boys and girls.Author <strong>of</strong> the research paper has found that the ways andmeans <strong>of</strong> these evils’ spread are three as the following: i) thehomes where some <strong>of</strong> these boys and girls see parents andguardians to be addicted to such evils, ii) the educationalinstitutions where students and undergraduates influence their91
