Students will distilltheir own guidelines for planning andconceptualising, followed by animating andcompositing graphics for moving images.ST6402Storytelling and StoryboardingAims to get students to craft their ideas intodramatic stories for film, video and digitalnew media, by developing their storyboardingand storytelling skills. Students will acquireknowledge of visual grammar, practical skillsin drawing, story design, script formatting,scriptwriting basics and be able to writescripts for a variety of emerging media formatsand create storyboards for presentations.ST0280Cloud & Service ComputingProvides practical introduction to cloudcomputing architecture and servicedevelopment. Students will be taughtthe skills required to design, code andimplement services based on cloud platformand web platform.ST8303Processes in Asian MusicsIntroduces students to the music of Asia. It willfocus on the music of India, South East Asia,China and Japan. Students will be introducedto the rhythmic and melodic structure ofthe music, the instrumentation used, thestructures of ensembles and orchestras thatperform it, its cultural & social context and theevolution of the various music traditions.ST4024Database Management SystemsIntroduces the fundamentals of the relationaldatabase model.
