The vehiclemanufacturer determines the criteria and method for stoppingthe test once it has been started. BEFORE using the EVAPLeak Test function, refer to the vehicle's service repair manualto determine the procedures necessary to stop the test.1. From the "Special Test Menu", use the UPand DOWN buttons as necessary,to highlight System Test, then press theENTER button.2. A "One moment please..." messagedisplays while the request is sent to thevehicle's on-board computer.Some vehicle manufacturers do notallow Scan Tools or other externaldevices to control vehicle systems. Ifthe EVAP Leak Test is not supportedby the vehicle under test, an advisorymessage shows on the Scan Tool'sdisplay. Press the button toreturn to the System Test menu.3.
