Chapter 4 – Road Design and Technical CriteriaSection 4.10 Road Name Signs and Traffic Control Devicesintersecting with a county road or State Highway may have white letters andnumbers on a brown background face; in Ranges 70 – 78 west. The colorsshall not fade when exposed to an accelerated test of ultraviolet lightequivalent to 5 years of outdoor exposure. No silk screened signs arepermitted.e. Border. There shall be no borders on road name signs.f. Road Name. Road name designations shall be obtained from the approvedplat for a land division or shall otherwise be assigned by the Countyaddressing coordinator.g. Change of Name. At the point where a road changes names from onesection to the next, the change should be designated on the road nameassembly by using directional arrows and will require two additional plates.h. No Outlet Signs. On any cul-de-sac, temporary dead-end road, or any otherroads with only one access point a “No Outlet” (W14-2a) sign may be placedunder the road name signs.Larimer County Rural Area Road Standards Page 4-13October 22, 2007
