Resistance

GERMAR RUDOLF, RESISTANCE IS OBLIGATORYist, yet became disenchanted due to the way the Israeli authorities andsettlers treated the Palestinians. Ever since he has been increasinglysupportive of the Palestinians’ human rights struggle. Several years agohe even converted to Christianity, which renders it questionable whetherone can still call him a Jew, depending on whether one considers theterm to be religious or ethnic, a topic upon which not even the Jews canagree.At any rate, since the second Intifada Shamir has been at the forefrontof that civil rights movement which insists on equal rights for Palestinians.Shamir’s son was one of the heroes of the International SolidarityMovement who, while risking their own lives, helped those Palestinianswith food supplies who had sought refuge in the Church ofNativity during the siege of Bethlehem by the Israeli occupational forcesaround Easter of 2002. Several months ago Mr. Shamir asked mewhy I am prepared to risk so much for my persuasions. He publishedmy answer to him on 16 Sept. 2006 on the Internet with an introductorycomment of his, which I may quote here: 151“In my view, H[olocaust] approval is an approval of Jewish superiorityand exclusivity, while H[olocaust] denial is a rejection ofthis exclusivity claim, and thus a duty of non-racist and/or a Christian.Germar Rudolf is a scientist dissident who was recently torn fromhis young wife and baby in the United States and extradited to hisnative Germany to stand trial for a scientific investigation of Auschwitz,the best-selling Rudolf Report. Born in 1964, he is one of theyoungest high-profile Revisionists who came out of the post-wargeneration – young folks as a rule brutally brain-washed with conventionalHolocaust lore. Germar, as we know, is different.”I mention this here in order to emphasize that one cannot makesweeping statements about the Jews, but that the German state cannotsweepingly claim the Jews as a justification for the persecution of innocentdissidents either. Because that is in my eyes exactly what the FederalRepublic of Germany is doing in order to cook their own politicalbrew behind that pretext. In fact, the conflict is not between the Jewsand me, but between the German state and me.
