In a long article about Klein’s career asa revisionist hunter, the Sunday issue Sonntag Aktuell of the Germandaily Stuttgarter Zeitung wrote on 1 Jan. 2006:“Germar Rudolf for instance, who thanks to Klein currently sitsin Stammheim [=Stuttgart prison], wrote in his Holocaust denying‘Quarterly for free Historical Research’: [249] ‘It borders in fact at amiracle that Heiko Klein is still alive.’ Blatant threats which do notdeter the intrepid state attorney.”It is not clear whether this statement stems from the journalist writingthe article or from Herr Klein, hence I cannot blame Herr Klein forthis. Fact is that my statement in said article has been turn point-blankupside down. In this section of that journal article I had discussed astatement by the then and also current director of the U.S. Institute forHistorical Review Mark Weber. In his speech he had stated that the hysteriaagainst the political right rampant at that time in Germany – whichwas even termed as such by the leftist news magazine Spiegel 250 –would impute a dangerousness to the so-called right-wing scene inGermany which was utterly out of touch with reality. If the rightwingerswere as dangerous as claimed, they would have long since attackedgovernment persecutors of the right like Hans-Heiko Klein. Inmy article I paraphrased Weber’s statement – hence these weren’t evenmy own words – in order to subsequently explain why I am opposed toviolence. This was also one of the reasons why I refused to publish thenames and perhaps even the addresses of state attorneys and judges whoare persecuting right-wingers and revisionists for their peaceful expressionsof opinion – because I had repeatedly been asked by my readers todo this. I wanted to prevent any potential misuse of such lists for violentends under any circustances. Yet inspite of this, the left-wing extremistdenouncer magazine blick nach rechts (view to the right) printed anarticle a few months later, in which the lie was invented that I hadcalled for the assassination of Hans-Heiko Klein, although the exactopposite of this is true. And since this flam paper was obviously consideredto be a reliable source of information to the German red-green fed-249 Vierteljahrsheften für freie Geschichtsforschung.250 German news magazine Spiegel, edition of 4 Dec. 2000.202
