GERMAR RUDOLF, RESISTANCE IS OBLIGATORYAs was inevitable after my deportation, in spring of 2006 the U.S.Federal Court in Atlanta rejected my asylum application – which hadbecome pointless anyway. But it also declared as illegal the regulationwhich the Immigration and Naturalization Agency of the U.S. had usedto justify their refusal to adjudicate my application for permanent legalresidency (also called the “green card”). In summer of 2006 the U.S.government changed this regulation by allowing future applications forpermanent residency to be adjudicated, yet refusing to adjudicate oldapplications filed by persons who had already been deported.
