Censorship against these books is therefore notonly illegal but also ridiculous. The targeted group for this censorship istherefore not the adolescent as an individual requiring protection, butthe critical adult, that is, the populace at large.I have already pointed out the questionable and in my view clearlyunlawful practice of the Assessment Agency to no longer make the listsof indexed books generally accessible and to keep revisionist writingsin particular on secret lists. Add to this the fact that a few years ago thedeadline to file an objection against a decision to index a medium wasreduced to one week, which is a mockery especially for publishersabroad if considering their extended postal delivery times.In summary I have to conclude that the proceedings and the legal basisof the German Federal Assessment Agency cannot be brought intoalignment with the Kantian principle of a universal law, which is essentiallyalso the principle of the German Basic Law. Because an utterlyvaguely formulated law permitting everything to be banned which runsagainst the ideological grain of the current Powers That Be has to degenerateto despotism and is therefore unacceptable.
