This overall estimation <strong>of</strong> the INSET programmewas found lower than findings proved within other similar Palestinian studies as Al-Ajez andAl- Banna‟s (2003) study where trainees‟ satisfaction average was about 66% and AbuSalem‟s (2008) study with a degree <strong>of</strong> satisfaction equals 72%. In contrast, this result iscompatible with Al-Qreanawi‟s (2009) study where the programme estimation average wasabout 61.8 %. This moderate satisfaction is justifiable in the light <strong>of</strong> several citedshortcomings and insufficiencies which outweighed the strengths. In what follows, theresearcher discusses the programme shortcomings as well as the strengths found in relation tothe questionnaire results.5.3.1 Programme Major Strengths<strong>The</strong> questionnaire analysis showed that the programme strengths involve:1. Programmes’ TrainersThroughout trainees‟ responses to questionnaire items, programme trainers scored the highestpercentage and the first rank <strong>of</strong> the whole domains with a weighted value <strong>of</strong> 73.70%. In otherwords, programme trainers turned out to be the programme strongest component. <strong>The</strong>sefindings coincide with Al- Ajez‟s and Al- Banna‟s (2003) who showed that trainers are thestrongest aspect <strong>of</strong> the investigated INSET programme. <strong>The</strong>y contradict with Al- Qreanawi‟s(2009) findings, in which the trainers ranked secondly after the programme goals, AbuSalems‟ (2008) results where trainers ranked the fourth and Jebers‟ (2002) where trainersranked the third.<strong>The</strong> highest percent assigned to programme trainers can be attributed to the humanisticand the gentle relationship that trainers always committed to as proved in item number 2 (areinterested in keeping gentle relationships with trainees) which had the highest ranking with aratio weight <strong>of</strong> (75.22%). Furthermore, the high ranking <strong>of</strong> programme trainers can bejustified in terms <strong>of</strong> trainers‟ relevancy to trainees, since trainers were previous teachers, thus- 149 -
