This definition includes serviceslinking non-metropolitan areas to metropolitan areas aswell as services linking non-metropolitan areas with othernon-metropolitan areas.All transport services operated for the transport <strong>of</strong>members <strong>of</strong> the public, for hire or reward <strong>and</strong> which areconducted in accordance with fixed schedules to <strong>and</strong>from fixed terminals, over specific routes, with or withoutintermediate stopping places between terminals. Charteror other non-scheduled passenger transport operationsare excluded.Under the ASCG Remoteness Classification, CensusCollection Districts (CDs) with an average ARIA Indexvalue greater than 5.92 <strong>and</strong> less than or equal to 10.53 areclassified as remote Australia.Passengers who pay for any level <strong>of</strong> fare on regular publictransport services.Calculated by multiplying the number <strong>of</strong> revenuepassengers travelling on each flight stage, by the GreatCircle Distances between the airports.266
