It has taken as much as a year to getapplicants with a commercial driver’s license to apply for the craftsmantrades position. In two years, we have had a 30 percent turnover in ourMulti-task Employee (MTE) positions. The current Master CraftsmanPlumber vacancy has been vacant more than 90 days and not a singleeligible licensed plumber has applied. All other skills requiring craftlicensing are grade 25 or higher. This initiative would move all threeposition descriptions up one grade.
