Theplan calls for asphalt overlay every ten years, while the seal coatingof asphalt surfaces occurs every fi ve years. In addition to the aboveamounts, $1,000,000 per year will be funded by the new bond.Without a replacement plan in place, temporary patches are the onlyoptions. Deterioration of asphalt would be accelerated and the potentialfor unsafe and unsightly conditions would increase.Legal Implications (if any):Claims could be submitted to the school system for vehicular damage,due to rough asphalt conditions, if action is not taken.308
