The low B is played as a whole note by the CB and bassclef organ.Bars 33-40 = A faster not<strong>at</strong>ional vari<strong>at</strong>ion of the Lucia Theme is played within theB minor chord fr<strong>am</strong>ework (B/D/F#). The high woodwind/organ/piano/strings play thetheme, after a 16th rest, with 16th notes B/D/C# to B 8th dotted to A/G# 32nd notes to Ahalf note. Then the bass clarinet/Fags/brass/CB play three rinforzando 8th note chords Bminor (B/D/F#) to F# minor (F#/A/C#) and back to B minor.Bars 41-50 = The frantic mother motif then comes into play for 19 seconds asLucia's mom wedges through the over-powering crowd milling around Lucia.
