<strong>Advanced</strong> <strong>Preparation</strong>: Express Mail <strong>and</strong> Priority Mail Open <strong>and</strong> Distribute<strong>705</strong><strong>705</strong>.16.1.1statements are used to debit the mailer’s account. The following information mustbe identical for each individual statement consolidated onto a single (consolidated)postage statement:a. Mailing date.b. Name <strong>and</strong> location of mailing agent.c. Processing category.d. Permit imprint number.e. Job or mailing cycle description.f. Unique <strong>USPS</strong> mailing number corresponding to the number on relatedindividual postage statements.15.5.6 Calculating <strong>and</strong> Reporting DataEach field on the consolidated postage statement represents the sum of the figuresin that field from the individual postage statements. The figures reported on theconsolidated statement must be rounded in accordance with 604.7.1.3. All fieldscontaining data on the individual statements must be rolled up to the consolidatedstatement. The total postage on the consolidated statement must be the sum of thetotal postage for all individual postage statements. This total is used to debit themailer’s account.15.5.7 Submitting StatementThe mailer must submit the consolidated postage statement to the DMU at orbefore the time the last individual postage statement it represents is submitted to theDMU for the day’s mailing.16.0 Express Mail Open <strong>and</strong> Distribute <strong>and</strong> Priority Mail Open<strong>and</strong> Distribute16.1 Description of Express Mail Open <strong>and</strong> Distribute <strong>and</strong> Priority Mail Open <strong>and</strong>Distribute[2-1-07] Express Mail Open <strong>and</strong> Distribute <strong>and</strong> Priority Mail Open <strong>and</strong> Distributeprovide alternatives for mailers who want to expedite mailings of other classes ofmail to destination postal facilities. Mailers prepare the mailings according tost<strong>and</strong>ards for the enclosed class of mail, enclose the mail in containers for expeditedservice as either Express Mail Open <strong>and</strong> Distribute or Priority Mail Open <strong>and</strong>Distribute, <strong>and</strong> present the mailings to a postal acceptance unit by the critical entrytime for <strong>USPS</strong> shipment under 16.0. Mailers may use Express Mail Open <strong>and</strong>Distribute or Priority Mail Open <strong>and</strong> Distribute for all or part of their mailings.16.1.1 St<strong>and</strong>ards[2-1-07] The Express Mail or Priority Mail shipment <strong>and</strong> the enclosed mail must meetall corresponding eligibility <strong>and</strong> preparation st<strong>and</strong>ards (see 110 for Express Mailst<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>and</strong> 120 for Priority Mail st<strong>and</strong>ards). For mail enclosed in an Express MailOpen <strong>and</strong> Distribute container, available extra services are indicated in 16.2.5.
