Line 2: "PSVC MACH BMC," as applicable.7.3 <strong>Postage</strong> Payment[4-13-06] <strong>Postage</strong> for all pieces must be paid with permit imprint at the post officeserving the mailer's plant under 2.0.7.4 Documentation[4-13-06] Mailers must <strong>com</strong>plete separate postage statements for each of themailings contained within the <strong>com</strong>bined mailing. At the time of mailing, mailers mustprovide all postage statements <strong>and</strong> a Business Mailer Support-approved manifestprepared according to 2.0 <strong>and</strong> this section.7.5 Authorization[4-13-06] A mailer who wants to present <strong>com</strong>bined parcel mailings must submit awritten request to Business Mailer Support (See 608.8.1 for address). The requestmust show the mailer's name <strong>and</strong> address, the mailing office, evidence ofauthorization to mail under 2.0, procedures for <strong>com</strong>bined mailing, the expected dateof first mailing, a sample of the required manifest, <strong>and</strong> a sample <strong>USPS</strong> Qualificationreport. Business Mailer Support will review documentation <strong>and</strong> provide writtenauthorization, which may not exceed 2 years. A mailer may terminate anauthorization at any time by written notice to the postmaster of the office serving themailer's location. Business Mailer Support may terminate an authorization, bywritten notice, if the mailer does not meet the st<strong>and</strong>ards.8.0 <strong>Preparation</strong> for Pallets8.1 Physical Characteristics8.1.1 St<strong>and</strong>ardsAll pallets presented to the <strong>USPS</strong>, whether <strong>USPS</strong>-provided or mailer-provided, mustmeet the st<strong>and</strong>ards in 8.1.2 through 8.1.4. Mail on such pallets must meet thest<strong>and</strong>ards for the class <strong>and</strong> rate claimed.8.1.2 ConstructionPallets must be made of high-quality material that can hold loads equal to a grossweight of 2,200 pounds. Pallets must measure 48 by 40 inches <strong>and</strong> must allowfour-way entry by forklift trucks <strong>and</strong> two-way entry by pallet jacks.8.1.3 Securing PalletsExcept for stacked pallets under 8.3.1 <strong>and</strong> pallet boxes under 8.4.3, each loadedpallet of mail must be prepared to maintain the integrity of the mail <strong>and</strong> the entirepallet load during transport <strong>and</strong> h<strong>and</strong>ling using one of the following methods:a. Securing with at least two straps or b<strong>and</strong>s of appropriate material. Wire or metalb<strong>and</strong>s, straps, buckles, seals, <strong>and</strong> similar metal fastening devices cannot beused.b. Wrapping with stretchable or shrinkable plastic.c. Securing with at least two straps or b<strong>and</strong>s of appropriate material <strong>and</strong> wrappingwith stretchable or shrinkable plastic.
