<strong>705</strong><strong>Advanced</strong> <strong>Preparation</strong>: Cotraying <strong>and</strong> Cosacking Bundles of Automation <strong>and</strong> Presorted Flats<strong>705</strong>.9.4.2b. The Presorted rate pieces qualifying for <strong>and</strong> claiming the barcode discountmust meet the criteria for flat-size mail under 301.3.0. Pieces in the Presortedrate mailing must meet the criteria for flat-size mail under 301.2.0.c. The Presorted rate mailing qualifying for <strong>and</strong> claiming the barcode discountmust meet the eligibility criteria in 363.2.0, 363.3.0, <strong>and</strong> 363.4.0, the mailpreparation st<strong>and</strong>ards in 365.7.0, the sacking requirements in 9.4.4, <strong>and</strong> thedocumentation criteria in 9.4.1h.d. The Presorted rate mailing must meet the eligibility criteria in 363.2.0, 363.3.0,<strong>and</strong> 363.4.0, the mail preparation st<strong>and</strong>ards in 365.5.0, the sackingrequirements in 9.4.4, <strong>and</strong> the documentation criteria in 9.4.1h.e. The rates for pieces in the Presorted rate mailing qualifying for <strong>and</strong> claiming thebarcode discount are applied based on meeting the sortation requirements in365.7.0, <strong>and</strong> when applicable, the zone. The rates for pieces in the Presortedrate mailing are based on meeting the sortation requirements in 365.5.0, <strong>and</strong>when applicable, the zone.f. The pieces must be marked according to 302.g. The bundles prepared from the Presorted rate mailing qualifying for the barcodediscount <strong>and</strong> the bundles prepared from the Presorted rate mailing must besorted into the same sacks as described in 9.4.4.h. A <strong>com</strong>plete, signed postage statement(s), using the correct <strong>USPS</strong> form or anapproved facsimile, must ac<strong>com</strong>pany each mailing job prepared under theseprocedures. In addition to the applicable postage statement, st<strong>and</strong>ardizeddocumentation under 708.1.0 must be submitted with each cosacked mailingjob that describes for each sack sortation level the number of pieces qualifyingfor the barcode discount <strong>and</strong> the number of pieces qualifying for eachapplicable Presorted rate.i. Barcoded sack labels under 708.6.0 must be used to label the sacks.9.4.2 Bundle <strong>Preparation</strong>Except for mail prepared under the cobundling option in 9.4.3, the Presorted ratemailing qualifying for <strong>and</strong> claiming the barcode discount must be bundled <strong>and</strong>labeled under 365.7.0, <strong>and</strong> the Presorted rate mailing must be bundled <strong>and</strong> labeledunder 365.5.0.9.4.3 Optional Cobundling <strong>Preparation</strong>As an alternative to the basic bundling requirements in 9.4.2, flat-size Presorted ratepieces qualifying for <strong>and</strong> claiming the barcode discount may be cobundled withflat-size Presorted rate pieces, subject to 11.0.9.4.4 Sack <strong>Preparation</strong> <strong>and</strong> LabelingBundles of Presorted rate pieces qualifying for <strong>and</strong> claiming the barcode discount<strong>and</strong> Presorted rate pieces prepared under 9.4.2 or 9.4.3 must be presortedtogether into sacks (cosacked) using the following preparation sequence, sack size,<strong>and</strong> labeling:a. 5-digit, required, minimum 20 addressed pieces; labeling:Domestic Mail Manual Updated 3-15-07
