<strong>705</strong><strong>Advanced</strong> <strong>Preparation</strong>: Cotraying <strong>and</strong> Cosacking Bundles of Automation <strong>and</strong> Presorted Flats<strong>705</strong>.9.2.29.2.2 Bundle <strong>Preparation</strong>Except for mail prepared under the cobundling option in 9.2.3, the automation ratemailing must be bundled <strong>and</strong> labeled under 707.25.0 (all bundle levels) <strong>and</strong> thePresorted rate mailing must be bundled <strong>and</strong> labeled under 707.22.0 (excludingcarrier route bundles).9.2.3 Optional Cobundling <strong>Preparation</strong>As an option to the basic bundling requirements in 9.2.2, a mailer may choose tocobundle automation rate <strong>and</strong> Presorted rate flat-size pieces, subject to theconditions in 11.0.9.2.4 Bundles With Fewer Than Six Pieces[5-11-06] 5-digit <strong>and</strong> 3-digit bundles prepared under 707.22.0 <strong>and</strong> 707.25.0 orunder 9.2.3 may contain fewer than six pieces when the publisher determines thatsuch preparation improves service. These low-volume bundles may be placed in5-digit, 3-digit, <strong>and</strong> SCF sacks that contain at least 24 pieces or on 5-digit, 3-digit,or SCF pallets. Pieces in low-volume bundles must claim the applicable basicPresorted or automation rate, except for firm bundles at Presorted rates under707.22.3.9.2.5 Sack <strong>Preparation</strong> <strong>and</strong> Labeling[7-6-06] [5-11-06] Presorted rate <strong>and</strong> automation rate bundles prepared under9.2.2, 9.2.3, <strong>and</strong> 9.2.4 must be presorted together into sacks (cosacked) in thesequence listed below. Sacks must be labeled using the following information forLines 1 <strong>and</strong> 2 <strong>and</strong> 707.21.0 for other sack label criteria. If, due to the physical size ofthe mailpieces, the automation rate pieces are considered flat-size under 301.3.0<strong>and</strong> the Presorted rate pieces are considered irregular parcels under 401.1.6, theprocessing category shown on the sack label must show “FLTS.”a. 5-digit, required at 24 pieces, fewer pieces not permitted; labeling:1. Line 1: use city, state, <strong>and</strong> 5-digit ZIP Code destination (see 707.21.1.2 formilitary mail).2.
