It is re<strong>com</strong>mended that the mailer's name alsoappear with the city <strong>and</strong> state of the entry Post Office.8.6.7 Electronic Verification System[1-4-07] All pallets <strong>and</strong> pallet boxes containing parcels prepared <strong>and</strong> identified usingthe Electronic Verification System (eVS) under 2.9 must show “eVS” (or thealternatives “EVS” or “E-VS”) directly below line 3 (origin line) using the same size<strong>and</strong> lettering used for Line 3.8.6.8 5-Digit, 5-Digit Carrier Routes, <strong>and</strong> 5-Digit Scheme Carrier RoutesPalletsAll 5-digit carrier routes or 5-digit scheme carrier routes pallets must show thewords “CARRIER ROUTES” (or “CR-RTS”) after the processing category descriptionon the content line under 8.0, 10.0, 12.0, <strong>and</strong> 13.0. 5-digit pallets of Bound PrintedMatter that contain only carrier route rate mail also must show the words “CARRIERROUTES” (or “CR-RTS”) after the “5D” pallet level description on the contents line.8.6.9 Extraneous InformationExtraneous information is permitted on pallet labels if:a. The print size is smaller than a 1/2 inch.b. It does not consist of a numbered series resembling a ZIP Code or 3-digit ZIPCode prefix.c. It does not appear on or between the lines reserved for <strong>USPS</strong> requiredinformation (blank lines are permitted). Exception: For <strong>com</strong>bined mailings ofSt<strong>and</strong>ard Mail <strong>and</strong> Package Services machinable parcels, mailer codes <strong>and</strong>extraneous information may appear between the content line <strong>and</strong> the office ofmailing or mailer information line.d. It is below the office of mailing or mailer information line.e. A 1-inch clear space is maintained around the lines reserved for <strong>USPS</strong> requiredinformation.f.
