<strong>705</strong><strong>Advanced</strong> <strong>Preparation</strong>: Combined Mailings of St<strong>and</strong>ard Mail <strong>and</strong> Package Services Parcels<strong>705</strong>.6.26.2 Combining Parcels—Parcel Post OBMC Presort, BMC Presort, DSCF Entry,<strong>and</strong> DDU Entry6.2.1 QualificationCombination requirements for specific discounts <strong>and</strong> rates are as follows:a. When claiming Parcel Post OBMC Presort <strong>and</strong> BMC Presort discounts <strong>and</strong>DSCF rates, machinable St<strong>and</strong>ard Mail parcels may be <strong>com</strong>bined withmachinable Package Services parcels under 6.2.b. When claiming the Parcel Post DSCF rate, machinable <strong>and</strong> nonmachinableSt<strong>and</strong>ard Mail may be <strong>com</strong>bined with machinable <strong>and</strong> nonmachinable PackageServices parcels under 6.2.c. St<strong>and</strong>ard Mail parcels may not be <strong>com</strong>bined with Package Services parcelsprepared for DDU rates.6.2.2 AuthorizationMailers must be authorized under 6.1.5 to prepare mailings that <strong>com</strong>bine St<strong>and</strong>ardMail <strong>and</strong> Package Services parcels.6.2.3 <strong>Postage</strong> Payment[1-4-07] Mailers must pay postage for all pieces with a permit imprint at the PostOffice serving the mailer's plant using an approved manifest mailing system under2.0. The following conditions also apply:a. The applicable system agreement must include procedures for <strong>com</strong>binedmailings approved by Business Mailer Support.b. For mailings presented under 6.0, mailers may document <strong>and</strong> pay postageusing the Electronic Verification System (eVS) under 2.9.6.2.4 <strong>Preparation</strong> <strong>and</strong> RatesCombined parcels must be prepared as follows:a. Minimum Mailing Volume. Separate minimum mailing volume requirementsmust be met for St<strong>and</strong>ard Mail parcels <strong>and</strong> for Package Services parcels.b. Parcel Post Qualifying for DSCF Rates. The <strong>com</strong>bined mailings must beprepared under the applicable 5-digit scheme <strong>and</strong> 5-digit sack requirements in455.4.0 or the applicable 5-digit scheme <strong>and</strong> 5-digit pallet requirements in 8.0for the Parcel Post DSCF rates. All other requirements for the Parcel Post DSCFrates <strong>and</strong> the Presorted St<strong>and</strong>ard Mail rates, as applicable, must be met. Thefollowing additional requirements apply:1. If sacked under 455.4.0, the minimum requirement of seven pieces persack must be met with only Package Services parcels. After the minimumsack volume has been met, St<strong>and</strong>ard Mail parcels may be included in thesack or in overflow sacks.2. If palletized under the option to prepare 5-digit scheme or 5-digit palletswhen there are at least 50 pieces <strong>and</strong> 250 pounds per pallet, this palletminimum must be met with only Package Services parcels. After theminimum pallet volume has been met, St<strong>and</strong>ard Mail parcels may beincluded on the pallet or in overflow sacks.Domestic Mail Manual Updated 3-15-07
