All pieces within each postage-affixed group must have the sameamount of postage affixed (for First-Class, the same amount of postage must beaffixed for the first ounce). The mailer must keep records of each source that wasmerged in the <strong>com</strong>bined mailing to allow the <strong>USPS</strong> to identify each source, thenumber of pieces by postage payment method, <strong>and</strong>, within each, by ounceincrement (for First-Class), or by amount of postage affixed (for St<strong>and</strong>ard Mail). Themailer must keep these records (in the form of <strong>com</strong>puter-generated printouts or<strong>com</strong>puter media approved by Business Mailer Support) in a central location for90 days after the mailing date of the <strong>com</strong>bined mailing.Domestic Mail Manual Updated 3-15-07
