Identify hazards.• Step 2. Assess hazards to determine risks.• Step 3. Develop controls and make risk decisions.• Step 4. Implement controls.• Step 5. Supervise and evaluate.This five-step process is integrated into the military decision-makingprocess as shown in Figure 2-1.FM 100-40 provides insight into the context in which the riskmanagement process is applied herein.
