CHAPTER 20EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AND CHECK LISTS20.1 REQUIREMENT TO PREPARE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AND CHECK LISTS OF ALL SCHEMESThe City Sanitation Plan (CSP), Feasibility Report <strong>of</strong> Sewerage Schemes and DPRs <strong>of</strong> all Schemesshould contain an executive summary and a check list. There should also be an integratedexecutive summary and check list <strong>of</strong> the pollution abatement project as a whole.Cost estimates <strong>of</strong> the project should also be prepared funding agency wise. Thus, one partshould contain schemes to be funded by NRCD, another part to be funded by MoUD and otherparts for other funding agencies, if any. In the executive summary the main items <strong>of</strong> everychapter should be covered.20.2 CHECK LISTSThe various check lists are given below:a) Check List <strong>of</strong> City Sanitation PlanS. Has the expected outcome <strong>of</strong> pollution abatement project beenspelt out in terms <strong>of</strong> improvement <strong>of</strong> water quality and <strong>of</strong>environment in the city been spelt out?7. Has the present system <strong>of</strong> management <strong>of</strong> waste water andother works been studied8. Have areas requiring up gradation <strong>of</strong> existing system <strong>of</strong> wastewater management been identified.Have areas where sewers to be laid been identified?Have drainage areas and sewage districts been identified?Has the need for following Schemes been examined?(i) SWM(ii) Community toilet(iii) River front development(iv) Other non-pint sources <strong>of</strong> pollutionHave agencies that will be assigned the preparation <strong>of</strong>Component Schemes been identified?Has executive summary been prepared?102
