Sorting of the mixed waste shall have to be carried out into BD, recyclable/ reusablematerial and non-recyclable / non-reusable(NRU) Sorting of waste shall be required at the final disposal sites also before processing assome of the waste may be directly sent to the disposal site.10.10.2 CompostingThe BD waste should be converted to manure by composting preferably through Public –Private partnership.10.10.3 Vermi compostingVermi-composting is decentralized method of SWM, which can be used to reduce the burdenon the local body as well as economize the collection and transport component of SWM.
