No. 1 <strong>East</strong> <strong>African</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Customs</strong> <strong>Management</strong> 2005(b) who has seized any goods or by whose aid any goods areseized under this <strong>Act</strong> such reward, not exceeding the valueof the goods seized, as the Commissioner may deem fit;(c) who has provided information that has led to the recovery ofrevenue, such a reward as the Commissioner may deem fit;(d) by whose aid any offence is compounded in accordancewith Part XVIII of this <strong>Act</strong> such reward as theCommissioner may deem fit.243. Where any goods are sold under this <strong>Act</strong>, then the provisionsof any legislation of any of the Partner States relating to auctioneersshall apply to such sale.244.-(1) The Commissioner may license any vessel of less than twohundred and fifty tons or vehicle intended to be used for theconveyance of any goods subject to <strong>Customs</strong> control and anytransporter upon application made in such manner and upon paymentof such fees, as may be prescribed.(2) A person who, without the permission in writing of the properofficer, uses any unlicensed vessel for the conveyance of any goodssubject to <strong>Customs</strong> control, or uses any unlicensed vehicle for theconveyance of goods to which other legislation of any of the PartnerStates applies commits an offence and shall be liable to a fine notexceeding five thousand dollars.245. The provisions of this <strong>Act</strong> in relation to the importation orexportation of goods, or to the arrival or departure of persons, byaircraft or vessels arriving from or proceeding to a foreign port shallapply, subject to any necessary adaptations or modifications, in likemanner to the importation or exportation of goods or to the arrival ordeparture of persons, overland or by the inland waters of the PartnerStates.246.
