INTRODUCTIONAmino pyrimidine is the most important member of all the diazine as thisring system occurs widely in living organisms. Pyrimidine was first isolated byGabriel and Colman in 1899. 2-Amino pyrimidine and its derivatives representone of the most active class of compounds possessing a wide spectrum ofbiological activities.Pyrimidine and its derivatives have gained prominence because of theirpotential pharmaceutical values. They are among those molecules that make lifepossible as being some of the building blocks of DNA and RNA. Pyrimidine isconsidered to be a resonance hybrid of the charged and uncharged canonicalstructures, its resonance energy has been found to be less than benzene orpyridine.R 1RNNH 2NWhere,R=Substituted PhenylR 1= Substituted ArylSYNTHETIC ASPECT :Different methods are available in literature.1.
