THERAPEUTIC INTERESTChalcones are potential biocides, some naturally occurring antibiotics andamino chalcones probably own their biological activity to the presence of α, β -unsaturated carbonyl group. Anthelmintics 97Recently, Ni Liming et al. 98 have synthesized chalcones and screened fortheir antiinflammatory and cardiovascular activity. Kumar Srinivas et al. 99 havesynthesised chalcones as an antitumor agent. Ko horng-Huey et al. 100 haveprepared chalcones as an antiinflammatory agent. Nakahara Kazuhiko et al. 101 havesynthesised chalcones as carcinogen inhibitors. Antitubercular agents of chalconederivatives have been prepared by Lin Yuh-Meei et al. 102 Ezico et al. 103 havedemonstrated that chalcone possess a valuable antiproliferation activity both onsensitive cancereous cell and on cell which are resistant to commonchemotherapeutic drugs.Some of the chalcones have been patented for their use fortreatment of glueoma 104 and showed antifungal 105,106 aldose reductase inhibitores 107 ,anticancer 108 and antimicrobial 109,110 activities.25Chalcone…..
