SYNTHESIS AND THERAPEUTIC EVALUATION OF 2-(4-CHLOROPHENYL)- 3-(4,5-DIHYDRO- 3-ARYL-1H-PYRAZOL- 5-YL)- 8- METHYL-1H-IMIDAZO[1,2-a]PYRIDINE.Pyrazoline derivatives have attracted considerable attention as it appeared ofinterest to possess wide range of therapeutic activities. With an attempt to gettingbetter therapeutic agents, pyrazolines of Type-I have been prepared by thecondensation of chalcone with hydrazine hydrate.CH 3NNClHNNRWhere,R = ArylType-IThe constitution of the synthesized products has been characterized by usingelemental analyses, infra red and 1 H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy andfurther supported by mass spectrometry.The products have been screened for their in vitro biological assay likeantibacterial activity towards Gram positive and Gram negative bacterial strainsand antifungal activity towards Aspergillus niger at a concentration of 40μg.
