Hearts would flowtoge<strong>the</strong>r and unite like drops of water. Then <strong>the</strong>re would be a power and strengthin <strong>the</strong> ranks of Sabbathkeepers far exceeding anything we have yet witnessed.The hearts of God’s servants are made sad as <strong>the</strong>y journey from church to church,by meeting <strong>the</strong> opposing influence of o<strong>the</strong>r ministering brethren. There are those whohave stood ready to oppose every advance step that God’s people have taken. The heartsof those who have dared to venture out are saddened and distressed by <strong>the</strong> lack of unionof action on <strong>the</strong> part of <strong>the</strong>ir fellow laborers. We are living in a solemn time. Satan andevil angels are working with mighty power, with <strong>the</strong> world on <strong>the</strong>ir side to help <strong>the</strong>m.And professed Sabbathkeepers who claim to believe solemn, important truth unite <strong>the</strong>ir<strong>for</strong>ces with <strong>the</strong> combined influence of <strong>the</strong> powers of darkness to distract and tear downthat which God designs to build up. The influence of such is recorded as of those whoretard <strong>the</strong> advancement of re<strong>for</strong>m among God’s people.The agitation of <strong>the</strong> subject of organization has revealed a great lack of moralcourage on <strong>the</strong> part of <strong>the</strong> ministers proclaiming present truth. Some who wereconvinced that organization was right have failed to stand up boldly and advocate it.They let some few understand that <strong>the</strong>y favored it. Was this all that God required of<strong>the</strong>m? No; He was displeased with <strong>the</strong>ir cowardly silence and lack of action. Theyfeared blame and opposition. They watched <strong>the</strong> brethren generally to see how <strong>the</strong>irpulse beat, be<strong>for</strong>e standing manfully <strong>for</strong> what <strong>the</strong>y believed to be right. The peoplewaited <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> voice of <strong>the</strong>ir favorite ministers, and because <strong>the</strong>y could hear no responsein its favor from <strong>the</strong>m, decided that organization was wrong.Thus <strong>the</strong> influence of some of <strong>the</strong> ministers was against organization, while <strong>the</strong>yprofessed to be in favor of it.
