Especially should those who havemeans invest in this enterprise. A suitable home should be fitted up <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> reception ofinvalids that <strong>the</strong>y may, by <strong>the</strong> use of proper means and <strong>the</strong> blessing of God, be relievedof <strong>the</strong>ir infirmities and learn how to take care of <strong>the</strong>mselves and thus prevent sickness.Many who profess <strong>the</strong> truth are growing close and covetous. They need to bealarmed <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>mselves. They have so much of <strong>the</strong>ir treasure upon <strong>the</strong> earth that <strong>the</strong>irhearts are on <strong>the</strong>ir treasure. Much <strong>the</strong> larger share of <strong>the</strong>ir treasure is in this world andbut little in heaven; <strong>the</strong>re<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong>ir affections are placed on earthly possessions insteadof on <strong>the</strong> heavenly inheritance. There is now a good opportunity <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>m to use <strong>the</strong>irmeans <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> benefit of suffering humanity and also <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> advancement of <strong>the</strong> truth.This enterprise should never be left to struggle in poverty. These stewards to whomGod has entrusted means should now come up to <strong>the</strong> work and use <strong>the</strong>ir means to Hisglory. To those who through covetousness withhold <strong>the</strong>ir means, it will prove a cursera<strong>the</strong>r than a blessing.Those to whom God has entrusted means should provide a fund to be used <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>benefit of <strong>the</strong> worthy poor who are sick and not able to defray <strong>the</strong> expenses of receivingtreatment at <strong>the</strong> institution. There are some precious, worthy poor whose influence hasbeen a benefit to <strong>the</strong> cause of God. A fund should be raised to be used <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> expresspurpose of treating such of <strong>the</strong> poor as <strong>the</strong> church where <strong>the</strong>y reside shall decide areworthy to be benefited.
