And <strong>the</strong>se shall go away into everlastingpunishment; but <strong>the</strong> righteous into life eternal.”Again on page 494 of Testimony <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> church vol. 1, No. 11, page 494, I said:“There is a liberal supply of means among our people, and if all felt <strong>the</strong> importanceof <strong>the</strong> work, this great enterprise could be carried <strong>for</strong>ward without embarrassment.All should feel a special interest in sustaining it. Especially should those who havemeans invest in this enterprise. A suitable home should be fitted up <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> reception ofinvalids that <strong>the</strong>y may, by <strong>the</strong> use of proper means and <strong>the</strong> blessing of God, be relievedof <strong>the</strong>ir infirmities and learn how to take care of <strong>the</strong>mselves and thus prevent sickness.“Many who profess <strong>the</strong> truth are growing close and covetous. They need to bealarmed <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>mselves. They have so much of <strong>the</strong>ir treasure upon <strong>the</strong> earth that <strong>the</strong>irhearts are on <strong>the</strong>ir treasure. Much <strong>the</strong> larger share of <strong>the</strong>ir treasure is in this world, andbut little in heaven; <strong>the</strong>re<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong>ir affections are placed on earthly possessions insteadof on <strong>the</strong> heavenly inheritance. There is now a good opportunity <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>m to use <strong>the</strong>irmeans <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> benefit of suffering humanity and also <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> advancement of <strong>the</strong> truth.This enterprise should never be left to struggle in poverty. These stewards to whomGod has entrusted means should now come up to <strong>the</strong> work and use <strong>the</strong>ir means to Hisglory. To those who through covetousness withhold <strong>the</strong>ir means, it will prove a cursera<strong>the</strong>r than a blessing.”In what I have been shown and what I have said, I received no o<strong>the</strong>r idea, anddesigned to give no o<strong>the</strong>r, than that <strong>the</strong> raising of funds <strong>for</strong> this branch of <strong>the</strong> work wasto be a matter of liberality, <strong>the</strong> same as <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> support of o<strong>the</strong>r branches of <strong>the</strong> greatwork.
