Reading on Your Own: Partner or Whisper Reading• Have students take turns reading every other page with a partneror have students whisper read pages 60–65 on their own.Say something like:Everyone, put your finger on the third paragraph on page 60. It starts,“Arthur flung aside . . . ”This is where you’re going to start reading on your own—without me.Now turn to page 65. This is the end and where you will stop reading.• Continue having students track each word with their fingers.4.
