Reading on Your Own: Partner or Whisper Reading• Have students take turns reading every other page with a partner orhave students whisper read pages 49–53 on their own.Everyone, look at page 49. Find the paragraph in the middle of the pagewhere it says, “Right, Luther.”This is where you will start reading on your own—without me.Now turn to page 53. That’s the last page in the chapter. Stop there.• Continue having students track each word with their fingers.4.
