Board demographics
to keep going forward, it was concluded that the Board needed to gain still
broader outreach and younger members. the chart reflects Board membership
as of november, 2011. excepting the under-representation of
women, 20 the demographics are changing in the right direction. 21
While anatolia has a deep pool of talented alumni to draw upon, recruitment
of graduates is expected to remain challenging given the demanding
search criteria and the desired balancing under the recommendation’s demographic
and skill-set targets. equally challenging is the courting of nonprofit
talent in america which is in great demand.
this may not be the best time for recruitment. Greece has lost much of
its appeal for philanthropy since it is no longer economically “underdeveloped,”
and more recently sympathy for the crisis is unfortunately lagging.
the us is faced with harsh realities of its own.
nonetheless, we are following the course set by the recommendations
steadfastly, including the retention of the american/Greek balance. this
course of action is basic to anatolia’s well-being and the american dimen-
