The Gardens of 2016
Given how huge Keukenhof is, the park holds
various gardens where each is designed and
landscaped in accordance to themes.
Golden Age Garden
This garden is a tribute to the courageous
‘plant seekers’ of the Golden Age. In those
days, botanists voyaged through new trade
routes to search and bring back new flowers
and plants species under difficult
circumstances. Now, they stand there as
showpieces in the botanical garden.
Delft Blue Garden
Delft Blue, also known as Delftware or Delft
pottery, is the blue and white pottery made in
Delft since the mid-seventeenth century. Still a
widely-used and extremely popular earthenware
in Netherlands, this forms the basis of inspiration
for the Delft Blue garden in Keukenhof where you
can find a wonderful assortment of blue and white
spring bulb flowers.
Vegetable Garden
How lovely is it to be able to see beautiful spring
flowers attractively complement a vegetable garden
in spring? This idea is exactly what is projected in
this particular garden.
Romantic Garden
Whether you’re in love, engaged or married, you
must drop by the Romantic Garden in
Keukenhof. The garden itself is filled with
flowers of lovely shades. Take a seat here and
share your love with other Keukenhof visitors by
writing and leaving your message of love at the
most romantic spot in the park.
Rob’s Sensory Garden
This garden is inspired by the most famous
Dutch TV presenter-gardener, Rob Verlinden.
Gardening and garden-designing have always
been Rob’s passion and this can be seen
through his creative artwork. By capturing the
very essence of his work, visitors are
encouraged to use their senses to feel, smell
and see the tulips from a different perspective.
This is indeed a garden full of surprises!
