Vaniqa
Patients may need to continue to use a hair removal method (e.g. shaving)
in conjunction with Vaniqa. In that case, the cream should be applied no
sooner than five minutes after shaving, as increased stinging or burning
may otherwise occur (emc, 2016).
Warning
It must be used indefinitely to prevent regrowth. Continuous use for 8
weeks is required before benefit is seen (BNF, 2016a). The condition may
return to pre-treatment levels within eight weeks following discontinuation
of treatment (emc, 2016).
