not very serious. When it spread to other parts of the body, it can cause<br />

serious consequences. For some patients, combination of multiple treatment<br />

methods, such as surgery plus radiotherapy or radiotherapy plus hormone<br />

therapy may be the best option (diseaseandsymptom, <strong>2016</strong>a).<br />

Pulmonary Embolism<br />

Pulmonary embolism occurs when lung arteries are clogged. In most cases,<br />

embolisation is due to one or more clots of other parts of the body fall and<br />

flow into the lungs with the blood. Symptoms of pulmonary embolism<br />

are various, including sudden shortness of breath, chest pain, coughing up<br />

blood or blood stained sputum and rapid heartbeat. In most cases it is not<br />

fatal if treated timely. Anticoagulants can significantly reduce the risk of<br />

death (diseaseandsymptom, <strong>2016</strong>b). A lung scan can be used to detect a<br />

pulmonary emboli (unknown, 2013a).<br />
