“Doug’s Theme” is the happy-go-lucky musical signature for the animated
television series that was known by three different titles. Fred Newman
and Dan Sawyer wrote the lyric-less number filled with easygoing scat

written for the Nickelodeon series Doug, which premiered in 1991. When
the series returned as a Disney show on ABC-TV in 1996, it was retitled

clean up the trash-ridden planet Earth. Songwriter Gabriel sings the gentle

taking the planet for granted and to make an effort to save the environment.

and Patty Silversher for the opening of the animated video sequel The Little
Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (2000). On the day that her baby daughter,

Ariel (voice of Jodi Benson) sings a lullaby to the child, then her husband
Prince Eric (Rob Paulsen) takes them both aboard a ship for the ceremony.
