“Easter Day with You” is the happy march-tempo song by John Kavanaugh
about how the holiday of Easter is best if shared with friends, heard
three times in the animated video Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo
(2004). Tigger (voice of Jim Cummings) sings the number to the kangaroo
Roo (Jimmy Bennett), who is too young to remember his first Easter. Roo
later reprises the song, at a slower tempo, as he sits in bed and makes an
Easter card for Rabbit. At the end of the film, Rabbit (Ken Sansom) and
the other characters in the Hundred Acre Wood sing it once again after
“Easy as Life” is a fervent character song for the Nubian princess Aida
(Heather Headley) written by Elton John (music) and Tim Rice (lyric) for
the Broadway musical Aida (2000). Although she loves the Egyptian captain
Radames (Adam Pascal), Aida knows she must work to help free her fellow
Nubians from Egyptian slavery. Forgetting him will be easy, she argues,
until she thinks of how much she loves Radames. Tina Turner recorded the
song before Aida opened on Broadway.
“Eating the Peach” is the playful, British music hall–style number written
Peach (1996). The orphaned James (Paul Terry) is flying over the ocean
