In parallel with and based on <strong>the</strong> desktop research<br />

and <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>terviews of practices, three work<strong>in</strong>g sessions<br />

were organized between October 2018 and<br />

April 2019. At <strong>the</strong>se moments, <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>sights were presented,<br />

and specific challenges, possible leverages<br />

and shared ambitions were discussed with <strong>the</strong> actors<br />

<strong>in</strong>volved. With <strong>the</strong> research and work<strong>in</strong>g sessions,<br />

<strong>the</strong> aim is to figure out two ma<strong>in</strong> questions.<br />

First, why do we look at city ports for future circular<br />

economy and what is <strong>the</strong>ir strategic role for it? Can<br />

we prove <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>itial hypo<strong>the</strong>sis that city ports play a<br />

crucial role <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> transition towards circular economy?<br />

Second, which role does <strong>the</strong> city port play <strong>in</strong><br />

relation to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Delta</strong> port system and its geographical<br />

network?<br />

In what follows, we show <strong>the</strong> outl<strong>in</strong>e, content and<br />

work<strong>in</strong>g materials of each work<strong>in</strong>g session.
