Students are required to participate in the Spanish program at Salamanca for one or two<br />
semesters. They a<strong>ls</strong>o are required to take History 2019., General History of Spain (3h), taught<br />
in Salamanca; Political Science 2029., Political Structures of Present Day Spain (3h), taught in<br />
Salamanca; Art 2029., Spanish Art and Architecture (3h), taught in Salamanca; and Spanish 217.,<br />
Literary and Cultural Studies of Spain (3h), a<strong>ls</strong>o taught in Salamanca as Spanish 2179.<br />
Students must take nine additional hours from the advanced courses in Spanish language<br />
and the literature and culture of Spain offered by the Department of Romance Languages, or<br />
from those offered at the <strong>University</strong> of Salamanca.<br />

Theatre (THE)<br />
A major in theatre consists of a minimum of thirty-six hours, including THE 110 or 112, 130, 140,<br />
150, 250, 260, 261, 340, 381, and 385. (Students interested in a theatre major should elect THE<br />
112.) Four semesters of THE 100 or three semesters of THE 100 plus THE 110L a<strong>ls</strong>o are required.<br />
Majors may choose their remaining courses from offerings at the 200 level or higher listed under<br />
the Department of Theatre and Dance. A minimum grade point average of 2.0 in all theatre<br />
courses attempted is required for graduation. Majors should consult with their advisers about<br />
additional regulations. Theatre majors are required to take two courses in dramatic literature.<br />
