(75) Temporary admission--Being admitted for 180 consecutive calendar days or less.<br />

(76) Transition assistance services--<strong>Services</strong> provided to a person who is receiving<br />

institutional services <strong>and</strong> is eligible for <strong>and</strong> enrolling into the CLASS Program. A more detailed<br />

description of this CLASS Program service is contained in Chapter 62 of this title (relating to<br />

Contracting to Provide Transition Assistance <strong>Services</strong>).<br />

§45.104. Description of the CLASS Program.<br />

(a) The CLASS Program is a Medicaid waiver program approved by CMS under §1915(c) of<br />

the Social Security Act. It provides community-based services <strong>and</strong> supports to an eligible<br />

individual as an alternative to the ICF/MR Program. CLASS Program services are intended to, as<br />

a whole, enhance the individual's integration into the community, maintain or improve the<br />

individual's independent functioning, <strong>and</strong> prevent the individual's admission to an institution.<br />

(b) DADS operates the CLASS Program under the authority of HHSC.<br />

(c) DADS limits the enrollment in the CLASS Program to the number of individuals approved<br />

by CMS or by available funding from the state.<br />

(d) The CLASS program offers the following services:<br />

(1) adaptive aids;<br />

(2) auditory integration training/auditory enhancement training;<br />

(3) behavioral support;<br />

(4) case management;<br />

(5) dental treatment;<br />

(6) financial management services (only in CDS option);<br />

(7) habilitation<br />

(8) licensed vocational nursing;<br />

(9) minor home modifications;<br />
