[begin addition] (2) Denial--An action taken by DADS that:<br />

(A) rejects an applicant's request for enrollment into the CBA Program;<br />

(B) rejects a CBA Program service requested on an ISP that was not previously authorized<br />

on the current ISP;<br />

(C) rejects a request for an increase of a CBA program service above the amount that was<br />

authorized on the current ISP; or<br />

(D) rejects, in part, the amount of a request for a CBA Program service that was not<br />

authorized on the current ISP.<br />

(3) HCSSA--A home <strong>and</strong> community support services agency licensed by DADS in<br />

accordance with Health & Safety Code Chapter 142.<br />

(4) ISP--An individual service plan is a written plan developed using person-directed planning<br />

to describe, for each CBA Program service to be provided to an individual, the type <strong>and</strong> amount<br />

of service, the type of provider, <strong>and</strong> the estimated cost.<br />

(5) LVN--Licensed vocational nurse. A person licensed to provide vocational nursing in<br />

accordance with Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 301.<br />

(6) Reduction--An action taken by DADS that decreases the requested amount of a CBA<br />

Program service below the amount on the current ISP.<br />

(7) RN--Registered nurse. A person licensed to provide professional nursing in accordance<br />

with Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 301. [end addition]<br />

[begin addition] (8) [end addition] [(2)] Suspension of services--A temporary reduction of<br />

waiver services without loss of program or Medicaid eligibility.<br />

[begin addition] (9) [end addition] [(3)] Waiver Program--A Medicaid program that provides<br />

home <strong>and</strong> community-based services to a limited number of eligible adults who are aged <strong>and</strong>/or<br />

disabled as an alternative to institutional care in a nursing facility in accordance with the waiver<br />

provisions of the Social Security Act, §1915(c).<br />
