This appropriation will enable us to continue the garbage collection
for a period of one month from today at the present rate for collection.
It is very urgent that this appropriation be passed this evening, as
the present contract expires today and it will probably be another month before
the appropriation is made and the contract is awarded for the new garbage
collection contract.
